NMT Dodge gets tuned for Mopar 250 at Delaware
Wyoming, ON – May 19 2005: Whitlock Motorsports continues to benefit
from their in-house Mustang chassis dyno to set-up their fleet of CASCAR
Dodges for both Dave Whitlock and Mark Dilley.

"This Series is so competitive, we need every
advantage possible" says 3-time Champion Dave Whitlock shown here
Wednesday focusing on the latest results in preparation for this
weekend's season opener at Delaware Speedway.
"Since we can make full-power runs here in the shop that simulate
conditions at the track, we can compare new tuning changes to our notes
from other combinations. We can also anticipate any potential problems
with engine, clutch, transmission or wheels that we wouldn’t normally
find until we get on the track. Both of those things eliminate surprises
and allow us to focus on the fine tuning for the weather and the track
when we get there."
"Our season only has twelve race dates, and every lap is important in
the final standings. To win races and Championships, you must utilize
every opportunity to be better than the next guy, and this dyno has
proven invaluable for our teams" cont'd

Whitlock’s #39 Avenue / NMT Dodge takes to the track at Delaware
Speedway this Saturday afternoon for initial practice at noon followed
by qualifying at 3 pm. The 12th annual Mopar 250 kicks of the 2005
CASCAR season on Sunday. Gates open at 11 am with the famous on-track
1-hour autograph session at 11:15. The green flag waves at 2 pm.
Now entering his third season running Dodges, Whitlock has already won
21% of the events including his first outing in the 2003 version of the
Mopar 250. Last year Whitlock started on the front row, led many laps,
and finished fifth after his charge back to the front was hampered by a
long late-race caution period. A repeat in Victory Lane this year would
well start his march to the 2005 Championship.
