Ticats Go Coast-To-Coast With Whitlock
Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are
excited to announce a brand new partnership with
Dave Whitlock and Whitlock Motorsports of the NASCAR
Canadian Tire Series.
“Dave’s car will be taking the Ticats brand
coast-to-coast,” said Ticats President Scott
Mitchell. ”We’re confident that the NASCAR Canadian
Tire series is going to be an overwhelming success
and we’re very excited that the Ticats will be a
part of it. We are looking forward to the inaugural
race this Saturday at Cayuga’s famed 5/8 mile oval
where team Whitlock recorded a win in 2006 and will
hopefully get off to a great start this year and
pickup where they left off.”
The Ticats logo will be prominently featured on
the rear quarter panels, behind the wheel and across
the back of the #39 Dickies/Hamilton Tiger-Cats/NMT
Dodge racecar. The logo is also embroidered on the
front upper chest of Whitlock’s race suit and on all
crew uniforms as well as on the team’s hauler, pit
cart and other team equipment.
“We are very pleased to add the Canadian Football
League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a partner in 2007,"
stated team owner and driver Dave Whitlock. "This is
an exciting new relationship which will result in
some unique cross marketing opportunities and I look
forward to a long term partnership with the team.
Fans of both sports will get an opportunity to
interact with each other as we bring the #39 race
car to selected Ticats home games and we in turn
host the Ticats at selected NASCAR Canadian Tire
Series race events."
After finishing fourth in the CASCAR Championship
point standings over the past two seasons, with his
first four Dodge seasons now in the record books, a
revised engine program this season has Whitlock
clearly focused on consistency in an effort to
capture the first ever NASCAR Canadian Tire Series
Championship.
