Mark
began his career racing go-karts at the age of twelve. By fifteen, he was
competing in Street Stock Cars at weekly Saturday night events, and
advanced to Super Late Models cars by age seventeen. In 1990 Mark began
racing in the CASCAR Super Series. By 1991 he had four wins: two -second
place finishes, a third place finish in the series, and a third place
finish in the points for the season.
Mark won
the National CASCAR Championship in 1994 and was second in the Super
Series Eastern Division. In 1999, Mark joined forces with Whitlock
Motorsports and sponsor NTN Bearings. Now in their sixth season together,
Whitlock and Dilley are poised to earn great results for themselves, their
sponsors and Dodge in 2004.
Golf could
have been an alternate career, and his infectious personality make a round
with Mark a favorite for many of the drivers and industry people.
